Basketball Tickets FAQ's
Why
are Knicks tickets so hard to get?
As a Knicks fan, you know how much fun it is to see an NBA game in
person. This great experience makes it a very desirable ticket. The
great demand, unfortunately, means that some people are unable to get
the tickets that they want or at the price they want.
Wouldn't
there be more tickets available if brokers didn't buy them up?
This is one of the more common misconceptions. Brokers try to predict
which events will be popular, and try to purchase as many of those tickets
as they can. They in turn sell them to the fans. Brokers also serve
as a secondary market, matching people who can't use the tickets with
people that want them. Without brokers, tickets would go unused, making
demand even more intense.
Wouldn't
it be better to buy tickets from the team directly or from Ticketmaster?
In an ideal world, yes. Unfortunately, when tickets go on sale,
phones lines are jammed and people are at work. Most importantly, the
box office simply runs out of tickets. Many times, the real fans get
shut out.
Why
are tickets so expensive when I buy them from a broker?
We don't purchase the tickets at face value. We have to pay a premium
price to ticket holders to acquire the tickets. In addition, we attach
a service fee to cover our expenses. The trade off of the added expense
for the fan is the knowledge that you have a seat in advance. You won't
have to worry about missing the game, no matter how big it is.
How
will I know that I will get the tickets that I ordered?
As a ticket broker, specializing in sporting events for the past 10
years, we stand behind the tickets that we sell. If the tickets you
are order are unavailable for some reason, we will contact you to see
what other tickets will work. Once the tickets have been confirmed,
we guarantee that you will receive those tickets.
